Interim Leadership at FTC

Ben and Jody Richmond have been asked to provide interim leadership at Friends Theological College for the 2007-2008 academic year while FTC seeks a new principal following the return of the Nugent-Rehards to the United States in the summer of 2007.

Ben Richmond will serve as interim principal of FTC. Ben is well known among FUM Friends for his service with the FUM central office staff from 1985-2005. He was editor of Quaker Life magazine and director of North American Ministries. He is the author of the widely-used adult curriculum Testimonies, the pamphlet The Christian Faith of Friends and the book Signs of Salvation: New Life Where Grace and Truth Meet. He delivered the Johnson Lecture at the 2002 FUM Triennial sessions in Nairobi, Kenya. Ben holds a Master of Ministry degree from the Earlham School of Religion and is a recorded Friends minister in Indiana Yearly Meeting.

Jody Richmond is a licensed mental health counselor. She is a team leader with Dunn Mental Health Center, a community counseling service where she has worked since 1999. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. Jody and Ben are members of West Richmond Friends Meeting. They have three grown children and a granddaughter.
