Below are a few photos taken by Jody Richmond from the Friends church team that took food and supplies to IDP (internally displaced person) camps today (Thurs 7 Feb). John Muhanji led, under the sponsorship of the committee set up by the peace conference. Here's how some of the Emergency Appeal money has been spent.
Below are a few selected photos from Kenya, to show the current situation. The IDPs pictured here are Luhya who have been displaced from their homes in Naivasha and sent back to their "ancestral home" in Western Province. As you can see, they have just been dumped on the road-side in Kakamega. The team is distributing the relief food and blankets today.
