Meet Our Staff:
Communications
Katie
Terrell
Communications Editor
Katie joined the FUM staff team in the fall of 2006. Her creativity, insight and excellent editing skills play a vital role in FUM's ministries. As the Communications Editor, Katie is responsible for editing all communications that come out of the FUM office.
Quaker Life magazine: Katie develops the theme list, organizes the business and marketing plans, and in general, organizes each issue by communicating with authors, collecting news and creating page assignments.
Friends United Press: Like the magazine, Katie organizes the business and marketing plans. She also responds to manuscript proposals and permission requests, figures royalties, maintains the inventory, monitors sales and performs updates on the online Shopping Center.
Shari
Pickett Veach
Communications Designer
Shari works with each staff and field staff member to give a consistent and clean look to FUM's printed image. She is reponsible for the layout and design of Quaker Life magazine, Friends United Press books, field staff newsletters, brochures, posters and other communication tools such as FOCUS, pastors & clerks quarterly mailings and yearly meeting displays. Shari helps coordinate Summer Mission Project (VBS), Chain of Prayer, FUM Sunday, PowerPoint presentations and the Annual General Fund campaign. She is currently working with a committee to redesign the FUM Web site and completed the new Friends United Press online Shopping Center last year.
I enjoy spending time with my husband, two children and extended family.
