Meet Our Staff: Financial Services
Financial/Operations Services Manager
The business office is in good hands with Barbara! She loves working with numbers and brings integrity to her work. Her tasks include:
- Input invoices and write checks; run ACH's and Wires
- Enter non-donation deposits and verify daily bank deposits
- Reseach various accounting questions
- Enter various General Ledger entries throughout month as required
- Reconcile bank statements and investment accounts
- Run monthly financial reports
- Maintain employee records
- Maintain records an file reports that are required by government agencies, insurance audits, etc.
- Contact person for employee insurance information, commercial insurance and insurance audits
- Work with auditors
I started in June 2005 as bookkeeper and feel it is a blessing to work in a Christian organization. During my interview I received a brochure about Friends United Meeting telling of its many ministries. After reading the brochure, I was excited about the possibility of being able to work in the organization. I pray I will be an asset and am excited to see where the future will take Friends United Meeting.
I have three daughters and seven grandchildren, and I enjoy going to their activities and sporting events.
My favorite scripture is Phillippians 4:13--"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Maintenance/Shipping/Receiving
Frank is the friendly and helpful voice that greets you on the phone, and the equally friendly face that greets staff upon their arrival each weekday morning. Frank hand delivers the mail to staff members each morning and ensures that packages are shipped quickly and efficiently as possible. Frank uses his natural talents to take on the task of building maintenance. He takes pride in helping any way he can and is the epitome of a servant leader, both practically and spiritually.
I have over 40 years of experience in surface and air transportation; I am happy to work in a Christian environment and use my transportations skills in shipping and receiving for Friends United Meeting.
I enjoy farming, gardening and yard work. I also enjoy six grandchildren with my wife, Mae.

Development Officer
Kim joined the staff in June 2008 and brings with her a special interest in connecting with Friends and listening to their stories. Kim has an already well-seasoned love for FUM ministries and vision. She has a concern for stewardship of all the resources of FUM and is available to speak to individuals and groups about our work. Her enthusiasm for learning from and building positive relationships with all Friends makes her a valuable member of our team.

Administrative Assistant
Kim assists in fulfilling the mission of FUM by ensuring that donations for projects and field staff, and payments for Quaker Life subscriptions and books from Friends United Press, are deposited into the correct accounts. She also takes care of the billing for Quaker Life subscriptions and Friends United Press orders.
Kim also assits Global Ministries, keeping track of field staff by monitoring donations, financial reports and wires.
Kim handles communication between the General Board, staff and constituency; she receives all emails sent to info@fum.org and is reponsible for forwarding them to the right person.
My husband and I raise golden retrievers as well as train and groom dogs. Our daughter Erin is married and has three beautiful children.

Yvonne
Snyder
Distribution Coordinator
Yvonne was the Bookstore Clerk for Quaker Hill Bookstore but has been instrumental in transforming the bookstore space into the FUM Welcome Center, where she now greets and assists visitors. Her office duties include:
- Mailings for Global Minstries, the business office and Friends United Press
- Helping with annual projects, like Chain of Prayer
- Assisting in answering phones, shipping and collecting mail
- Providing additional support to all staff members as needed
Yvonne energizes and equips the FUM staff with a joyful spirit and makes sure the staff is thankful and thoughtful by sending greeting cards to field staff, volunteers and others in need of love and care.
It was an anwer to prayer to come to work at Friends United Meeting. My husband Bob and I have a dog and 2 cats. I enjoy teaching Sunday school and being an active member of the Richmond Emmaus community.
